XL Woo2 BGE PlateSetter

Does anyone know if you can use a woo2 and a stock BGE platesetter on the XL? I am looking to use the woo2 with a BGE 18" cast iron grate on the bottom ring, then the platesetter legs up, then the stock grate on top of that. Do a reverse sear, remove the stock grate and platesetter, then sear on the cast iron grate.

I have an XL with the Woo2. The bottom ring of the Woo will be resting on top of the stock plate setter and the Woo will not be seated on top of the fire ring. The grate level is a little above the gasket. I would do the initial cook with the plate setter and stock grate, pull the plate setter / grate and install the Woo with the CI grate then let it all come up to temperature for the sear.Living the good life smoking and joking

You can't put in the woo in first, then the stock platesetter?

I just tried it. The plate setter will not fit through the upper ring of the Woo.Living the good life smoking and joking

Thanks for checking. Maybe I'll get a spider for searing.

I'm going to get a stone for the Woo and not worry about using the stock plate setter. Just pull the stone, put on the CI grate and sear away.Living the good life smoking and joking
