I saw a U-Tube demo on the Green Egg

and it was dollar bill tight all the way around even at the back by the hinge. My egg is several years old and has always leaked especially at the hinge and around for about a foot on the left hand side. In that foot area is and always has a low spot that come from the factory like that. You guys know how I might fix that (the low spot)? It has a Rutland gasket on the bottom that looks pretty flat (2 years old) but it still works like it did a couple years ago. I was told I didn’t need one on the top so it’s bare. I have tried loosening the top band and forcing the top down with no luck. The demo showed there was fire in the egg with no leaking smoke leaking what so ever. This makes me know they do make an egg that works like it should.  don’t get me wrong I still wouldn’t trade my egg for anything

Sorry the tread is so long if you can answer all my questions I would appreciate it.
