Just smoked my first chicken from peaceful pastures. If you are local to middle tn you have to check out this farm. All animals are fully pastured with no antibiotics and no gmo grain crap feed. Their ducks get nothing but what they eat in the pasture and their pork is Tamworth heritage breed. Worth checking out for killer product. This chicken was amazing.

Looks good, what kind of rub did you use and what did you stuff in the cavity?
-
I smoked it about 4.5 - 5 hours around 230 and stuffed one onion and one green apple in the cavity with lots of my rub. This is the rub I used and will continue to use on chicken. Its was delicious.

1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes

If you ever have leftovers on the carcass, you can pull it and make chiken salad sandwiches out of it!

Or tacos, or quesadillas, or salad, or fajitas, or, or, or. Love leftovers.Egginspector said:If you ever have leftovers on the carcass, you can pull it and make chiken salad sandwiches out of it! -
That's the purdiest bird I've seen in a long time! I've been spatching them since I learned on this forum! Haven't smoked one in years but am ready to again after looking at that! Well done!
