How long can I keep a butt in the fridge?

I stopped by the local meat market today and pick up a pork butt on sale for a $1.19 / lb. I won't have time to cook it this weekend, but I will next weekend. Should I go ahead and foodsaver it and freeze it? Or will it be okay in the fridge for a week? It's wrapped in butcher paper.

FREEZE it for sure! My guess at $1.19 it was already marked down due to having been thawed and close to getting "ripe" when you even bought it! Smell it before you freeze it for sure!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time
