My boring non-post worthy Sunday cook.

@mgd_egg what's in the foil on the bottom? That bird looks great. See, perfect example. Spatch is a great cook that is never heard of before I joined here.
-
@theyolksonyou I had foil potatoes on the bottom. I opened the foil to crisp them up a bit later in the cook. We are good for a spatch about once every two weeks. It's the kids favorite thing off the egg. Well maybe ribs are their favorite.Lg & MM BGE, Humphrey’s Battle Box | Palatine, Illinois

Heck, all I do around here is post boring cooks. It's tough to justify a whole hog cook when you're just cooking for 2
. I just like posting most of my cooks because it was the cook threads that drew me to this site in the first place when I was lurking/new to the egg. -

@tarheelmatt 1. fajitas are never boring in my neck of the woods.
b. If you set up the dslr, not boring. -
-
@tarheelmatt wins ... or loses? poor depth of field in first shot, plus angle high and colors washed out.
2nd pic is much better, but that isn't to hard after that first one. Like the rule of thirds in that one.
j/k I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Too funny! What temp, rub and it when you pulled it @Ozzie_Isaac?Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

Really needed around f8 for these shots instead of 1.8....Ozzie_Isaac said:@tarheelmatt wins ... or loses? poor depth of field in first shot, plus angle high and colors washed out.

I went no rub, let the smoke do the talking. Pulled at 137. It was small so almost no ramp in temp at end. Next time I will pull at 143.bgebrent said:Too funny! What temp, rub and it when you pulled it @Ozzie_Isaac?I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

I would say you have plenty of glass for this crowd! I don't have any sub 2 glass.tarheelmatt said:Really needed around f8 for these shots instead of 1.8....I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

@ChillyWillis as boring as that seems, again charcuterie. Is it home cured or store bought?
-
My boring burgers and Italian sausage for pasta later in the week.

Tried Oakridge Black Ops and Death Dust on the burgers. Both were awesome. I did employ the cast iron to get a nice crust going. Raleigh NC, Large BGE and KJ Joe Jr. -

Dang! It's cured on site by my butcher.theyolksonyou said:@ChillyWillis as boring as that seems, again charcuterie. Is it home cured or store bought? -
@NCEggSmoker love botH those rubs, never used in burgers. See, we're learning
-
To me the most boring thing is fast food take out.
A home grilled wiener on an old bun is far less boring than a heart attack in a sack.
SGH - are those wagyu hot dogs and sausage by SRF?Phoenix
