beans and pork

then the picnic marinated in the bean sauce went in with added bean soaking water

cooked 6 hours lid on and 2 lid off. next try, more molases and salt pork instead of bacon but all in all was happy with this cook. thanks to carolinaq for posting this recipe

dont know why one pic didnt open big, open the little jpg pic and see how much extra water i added, still needed just a little more towards the end. salt pork would have added more pork flavor than the bacon, not sure why he chose bacon, nobody uses bacon up hereCarolina Q said:Man, that looks UNBELIEVABLE!! I made his recipe for this using a Brisket flat for New Years a couple years ago. Came out great! I intend to do the pork version at some point this season.
