Can you guys recommend a good dual zone / dual probe meat thermometer? I was looking at one online until I looked at the customer reviews and saw that most customers were very unhappy.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Eggineer,
I have had pretty goosuccess with my Maverick. I did have to replace a probe kind of early though.

jake42,[p]That's the one I have. It works well. I wish it would have an indicator to notify you when the wireless connection was lost.

Eggineer,
For longer cooks that use a probe during the entire cook, I recommend the Maverick ET-73. For higher temp cooks that require an instant read meat thermometer (steak, burger, pork chops, etc) I recommend the Thermapen Instant read (get the smaller/thinner diameter tip one).[p]Hope this helps.[p]Banker John

Thanks guys.... I just bought the Maverick. New Egg and plate setter should be in Thursday....Wicked Good Charcoal in the Garage. Hoping to cook two butts (pulled pork) for a famliy get together on Saturday. This will be my first cook on the egg. am I biting off too much?

Banker John,[p]Exactly how instant is an instant read thermo? I have never really used one! I always just to the finger touch test, but I've been wanting to get a good thermo just to have. Is this model sold at most kitchen stores?[p]Thanks...

Eggineer,[p]Nope, my first cook with the egg was a 14 hour pulled pork. I went straight by the Elder Ward Recipe.... you'll not be disapointed.
