No warranty on hardware

So I had to get the girl new bands and springs today. Didn't realize that this was the part of the egg not under warranty. Any way it was $99 at my local ace, not bad I guess. The issue was that the egg was not closing correctly and I was getting a gap. Not only that, the egg would spring open a quarter inch or so after I closed it. A lot of rust on the springs. Lesson learned on how to take care of her

Did you try to retighten the spring and bands before getting new ones? A lot form gaps and underbites. Buying more is last resort. I hope you tried to fix the original before buying new. Just an FYI. Don't trash the original until you have tried to fix by reseating the bands and re tightening bolts.

Go back and say "WTF!!!" There is no reason that you should have had to pay for that, it's covered under warranty.

turner @ the beaches. I will take it back. So stupid not doing my homework. Dad and I spent an hour getting the old springs some what fixed. Good times working with the old man

Dealer should know better too. Best thing is to assume the warranty until the Mothership states otherwise. Good luck getting it worked out.

your absolutely correct. He told me that anything that rusts has no warranty after a year. I will call the mother ship on Monday and tell them my story. I don't think that turner Ace was trying to screw me over. I think that he did not know about BGE warranty

You are most likely correct. They probably or either new to BGE or just don't do a high volume. Our Ace is the same way. I switched to a more knowledgable dealer because of it.
