    Researcher,
hmmm[p]i don't have the numbers handy, but for reference, i can get 3 or 4 butts (7-8 pounds) on my raised grid.[p]did a 22 pound turkey, too, no problem.[p]if you want, you can stack food too, raised grid over the lower grid.[p]someone will chime in with the answer

    Researcher,
My grid to top of dome measurement is 9 inches. Grid is setting on a platesetter which would put the lower level about 5 inches lower than that.

Researcher,[p]With the grate resting on the fire ring, the distance between the grate and top of the dome is 12.5" - 13".
Not sure what you are referring to with the double decker grills but the average distance between homemade stacked grate setups is 4".

  • stike,[p]That is what I meant when I asked the difference between grills, the measurement between the raised grid and the lower grid.[p]Thanks
