False advertising...

Only if it had not been registered yet. A cou[ple summers ago there were a hand full of mediums awarded from some contest and they came with the paperwork. I personally inspected one for a fellow I knew who bought it and he was able to register it as the first buyer. If the buyer can be confident that way then it's worth the risk but he should do his own due diligence.ekuapa said:Interesting... but i dont see how the warranty will come along..Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
Thanks... Do you know why does BGE do not transfer warranty if egg is sold like that?RRP said:

My guess is it lessens the chance of fraudulent claims in the future. That lifetime warranty on the ceramic parts is clearly a cost and potential liability to BGE.ekuapa said:

It's all about the money. Money, money, money! Why would anyone buy a new egg when you could purchase a used egg at 1/3rd the price with a full warranty. This way it makes people buy new. (more money for BGE) You will hear 10 people a day here on the forum saying you shouldn't buy used because of the warranty. That's the weight of gold for BGE corp!RRP said:

I wonder how many BGEs result in a claim. This board seems to be a small sampling of very heavy users. Low, slow, hot, fast, nuclear etc. If it can do it the guys and gals will do it.
We also buy for life. I've met a number of people now who have no idea their egg even had a warranty.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

talked to seller, has the original receipt and confirms dealer will honor original warranty. brand new with nest, no other accessories.
what you think? $400?Franklin, TN - (1) LBGE and a cooler full of beer -
Sure..why not? CASH of course! Be sure the seller isn't looking over your shoulder! Police just arrested 5 here who leared CL buyers into similar "too good to be true" meetings and then beat and robbed them!beatarmy said:talked to seller, has the original receipt and confirms dealer will honor original warranty. brand new with nest, no other accessories.

They might as well just go ahead and call it CrazyList. I have bought and sold a few things on there, and the experience was mostly (not completely) positive. However, there is a lot of crazy on there too.
