Rain in the forecast late tomorrow but I imagine they will make it much more difficult. Rory looked average and Woods struggled to look average. Spieth is the man to beat after day one.

Good first round. Spieth could do no wrong. Today will be a different story. But barring a full scale meltdown on his part, Spieth has the game to be wearing that Green Jacket Sunday evening. If Day picks up where he left off yesterday, the two of them would make for an excellent final pairing on Sunday!

IMO this is really shaping up to be a fantastic Maters. The course looks even more beautiful than I remember. With Ben Crenshaw's last competitive round today, and Spieth just playing at a historic level, this is truly fun to watch. I just heard Spieth has 13 birdies with only one boggy in 27 holes. But like Hogan said, the tournament does not start until you get to Amen Corner on Sunday afternoon. Lots of drama ahead, I am sure.

Spieth is playing unbelievably. Crenshaw's final round at ANGC was hard to watch for me. You won't find a more gracious man.
I think the only ones who might make a run at Jordan will be Mickelson, Dustin Johnson or maybe Justin Rose. The kid seems in total control though. A couple of 70s and he's wearing the green jacket.

Anything can happen at Augusta on the weekend. Remember Norman w a 6 shot lead? But it's awesome to watch...Super Bowl of golf. My money is on Speith or Johnson. But if I was in Vegas I would put a few down on Mickelson to hedge my bets.Fish, Hunt, Cook....anything else?
