Dinner Tonight - Souvlaki and Greek Grilled veggie salad.

The April Throwdown inspired me to try something Greek on the egg. So tonight's menu is grilled pork souvlaki, grilled veggies, and a grilled pear for dessert.

The pork loin was sliced about 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick and marinated in mix of lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, mint and EVOO.  The veggies will be grilled and then dressed with this same mixture. Of course, there will be tzatziki sauce for the finished product. Finally, the pear will be grilled then served with yogurt, fresh mint and local honey.

Here are the basic ingredients before starting.

And here they are prepped. The pork is bathing in its marinade. The veggies are cleaned and cut and the pear is ready. The tzatziki is made and there is a mixing cup of the dressing for the veggies.

Gotta go now and start the fire.
