Great Deal on Wood Chunks at Home Depot

Wanted to send out an alert...Home Depot is selling Charbroil Wood Chunks for $5.00 for large bag...they have changed supplier and are trying to get rid of the Charbroil brand.....you might have to ask as a stock guy told me to look in the Garden Clearance section...not sure if all are doing it but thought I would post it....I bought 7 bags...mixture of Cherry, Apple and Hickory....good hunting....

Im in Philly....it wasn't advertised....the guy working in that section saw me getting some small bags of chunks and he said "I've the big bags on sale that we are trying to get rid of"....took me to the clearance section and there they were...

DoubleEgger - I asked at my store and the orange apron knew nothing about it. I found it myself on a clearance end cap at my store. They already had the new Brinkman stuff displayed in the usual spot alongside the smokers.Phoenix

The Gilbert, AZ store has a lot on sale. Had to ask where it was hidden, 'cuz it was around the corner, in another room, far in the back, on the end of an aisle, and on the bottom shelf. Disappointed that there wasn't any orange smoke wood ... only have room in the Jeep for special stuff during the return trip.

I just scored 2 bags of pecan chunks, 1 bag of cherry chunks, 1 bag of mesquite chunks, 1 bag of alder chips and a few bags of apple chips for less than $20.00. I'm going to check at the other home depots tomorrow, Thanks

Nothing at my local store. All they had was Brinkman branded stuff at normal prices. I'll be checking the store near where I work tomorrow.

no Joy here out west here in Oregon. hit up 2 home depots both had the brinkman and weber stuff side by side, both priced at 8.97 per bag for the 5lbrs. Front desk says every store handles clearances differently, and that 8.97 was a clearance price, but they wouldn't be reducing it any further for now.BGE XL in the Pacific NW

Great tip! I just grabbed 2 bags of cherry, 2 Apple, one hickory, and one mesquite out of the Plymouth HD at $5 a pop.

My store had them at 2.33/bag but had no appple. I got 12 bags, mostly hickory and pecan with a couple cherry thrown in.Raleigh NC, Large BGE and KJ Joe Jr.
