Nice going. That's what I did, too. Sometimes it can get a little smoky under the cover but still well worth the trade off for a dry area. FYI you can purchase a suitable replacement for just the canopy top--less the frame--online. I have done this once due to freezing/thawing conditions where I live.

You know you probably don't need that blower rain guard anymore!

@mahenryak, how does it do in the wind?

Mine does just fine but it is protected by an eight-foot cedar fence which probably bears the brunt of the wind storms. Still, I've awoken a morning or two to find that my little galvanized trash can had been relocated by the wind but saw no damage to the material. I know they tell you to take it down, though, if it's going to be severe weather. I just never have since it is somewhat protected. My number one issue has been the result of freezing/thawing--cracks and tears can develop if conditions are just right. I try to make sure that I remove all snow so it doesn't build up near the seams. It isn't designed for the winters up here but I'm willing to live with replacing the cover every couple of years if need be.Blassiter said:@mahenryak, how does it do in the wind?

get a Smokeware cap and you can stop worrying about the egg in any weather. Of course, the same can't be said of the chef LOLMSV Chill Spot

Get the Smokeware cap. One of the best eggcessories I've bought.
And your yard is beautiful. We can't have grass like that down in TX. The grass here feels like you're walking on razor blades.
