OT cuz it was not done on the BGE.  however, I will be testing how to smoke my own cheddar in the near future.

    This sounds awesome.  You could always grill the grit cakes on the egg instead of broil them, then it would be totally on topic!  

    I actually tried this once an while it was pretty good, the recipe wasn't great.  I have been meaning to revisit this concept. 


    Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

    In Fairfax VA, there is place called Coastal Flats and this is one of our favorite dishes there.  This is a very close representation.  Very good!!!
