First off have to say this place is great. Picked up LBGE off CL in October and been having blast with it and learning stuff from this forum. Just picked up KJ classic from local Ace for $350 never would believe that was possible but it happened. Only people here would understand the need for two. Wife thinks I'm crazy but no one's complaining about what they have been eating. Can't wait to have some family and friends over this summer and cook. Thanks for the info and laughs.Comments

It is hard for people to complain with their mouth full.

I don't know about another large egg but I wouldn't mind a mini or a mini max.

$350, I would have bought 2!

I gave my gasser up and am regretting it as it served as the perfect spot to set something hot when changing setups in the Eggs. Granted I hadn't actually used the gasser in over 3 years but it was a great place to put hot grids, plate setters, etc.I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

Get rid of the gasser. I use mine for BGE tool storage and it does come in handy to set hot things on but not worth the space it takes up. I'm going to be getting rid of it this summer. Congrats on the two rig set up. I would imagine when you feed the hordes, complaints of two grills will disappear.Firing up the BGE in Covington, GA

I've got a Performer to join your gasser! Haven't used it once since getting the egg. I'm west of Madison, not too far from Tyrol. What Ace? I'd like to pick one up for my brother....In dog beers, I've only had one.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey.
And an observation-you may want to consider creating an air gap under your BGE and above the stone/paver. Over time the heat from the BGE will cause damage to the wood below your heat sink stone. This has contributed to a few fires experienced by forum members.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. Yep should pick up table nest or put feet back under egg. The deal with was an on line bid through MadisonBids.com from the Cottage Grove Ace. The starting bid was $340. I don't know if it was not advertised enough or what. But could not pass on that.
