Cooks & OT Rolled Into One (Joint post of mine and HuskerMaMa)

Work has been steadily picking up. It won't be long till we're balls to wall busy.
Recently had the front gate to the road completed.

One of many flower beds. This is the front berm.

Recent cooks by HuskerMaMa utilizing leftovers and making new dishes with them.

Last weekend's beach trip with the MM.

Monday's Spatchcock meal.

This one with MaMa's special peanut butter.

And this evenings supper prepared and egged by our Son. He did pretty darn good.

Seriously mad jealous at the property and the location. Makes my little 1/8th of an acre in Nebraska look like hell. Nice cooks my friend and a great beginning to the spring.
I raise my kids, cook and golf.  When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.
Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

Nice looking hotdog, with just mustard, all it really needs, though sometimes I will pile on some diced onions and coleslaw. My wife puts mayo and ketchup on her hotdogs. Never understood that.

WOW. That yard picture makes it easy to see why Nebraska would be just a memory. Your living the dream and I sure you've earned it. The food looks like a winner. Thanks for sharing.  :)

@GATraveller the bucket (zoom in). If you look closely the top has a imprinted bone... That lid twists off and under it is dog food. Then the top section can be removed and there is an insulated water bowl that we put ice water in (holds close to one gallon). This little Pet Beach tote is almost 20-21 yrs old. It is perfect for the beach or just a road trip.

Thanks @Jeremiah. I think all of the azaleas are now in full boom along with the Orange trees and Pear tree. The Orange trees  blossoms fragrance is wafting in the air
Soon enough the confederate jasmine, honeysuckle and gardenias  will be blooming and filling the the air with their perfume.

Our azaleas are just beginning to bloom. The fruit trees are still in hibernation but what worries me the most are my 14 crape myrtles I planted last fall that look like death currently. I ask that at this moment we all say a little prayer that they come back to life shortly.

@NPHuskerFL Wow what a great place and great food. I need to visit Florida. Other than WDW never really seen much of the state. Maybe next year we will drive down for a few of the Eggfests.

@Jeremiah your crepe myrtle trees will start to show life in a couple weeks. hours still look dormant as well. this is perfectly normal trust me (we have like 12 of them and one Redbud tree that we got free to plant about 17 yrs ago from the University's plant a tree project).

@Hotch absolutely! Stop by and we'll egg some protein and have a cocktail or three.  We could do some serious damage

The photo with the family dog reminds me of the scene in Vacation -- Aunt Edna's dog Dinky.  Hopefully, that leash is not attached to the bumper.  =)

Cool.  I was hoping you'd see the humor in that.  Seriously, nice digs, though.  P.S. My other reference above to 'Billy Ray' was a tip of the hat to the movie Trading Places.  (I watch too many movies.)
