What would we do without big brother looking out for us? Tax dollars spent on stupidity. Grill flare ups are very dangerous. I wonder how many pollutants we created at the Salado Eggfest yesterday?

I used to naively think that paying taxes was my way of contributing to our great country.  Now I pay as little as possible because of too many articles like this one.

Seriously - is it a contest to see how much money can be wasted in the most ridiculous way?

The DudeThis is a very complicated case, Maude. You know, a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-you's. And, uh, lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands in old Duder's head. Luckily I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug regimen to keep my mind, you know, limber.

Welcome to what I call, adulthood. Every single good intentioned act of the federal government is, by any private sector measure, a colossal failure.
  • Big brother wants your guns and grills. Maybe, just maybe if they worried a tad more on the problems that truly need a solution then we wouldn't be in the shape were in right now.  Just another way for someone to get a pat on the back and a Atta boy from a tree hugging left winger that walks around with their eyes and wallet open looking for the next bribe.
  • Next thing you know they will ban lump charcoal.

Not to get technical, but according to chemistry alcohol is a solution...

I won't step foot in the state anymore (and haven't for a half dozen years).  It has gotten too ridiculous.

To that I'd add LAWN MOWER.   Gas mowers are emission monsters for the hour a week they run.  Old-school 2-stroke mowers were even WORSE.

My brother owns a wood burning stove used mainly for HEAT for his house.  It really kicks out the BTUs and can make the immediate area too warm for comfort.   He uses fans move the air around and heat the entire house.    His is a NEW model with some very high claims for 'efficiency' rating which translates to low emissions.   It still burns simple wood.   The right wood 'mix' helps a lot, too.

wood pellet stove put out so little Co2 that in some enclosed areas don't need ventilating.

Perhaps BGE owners should get a tax break or some other incentive for owning a super efficient Grill.  Mabey there should be a clunker program where you can trade in your old grill - anything you can push, pull, or drag in for big $$$ trade-in on a BGE.   They use less of the forest, create fewer pollutants, and you don't have to drive your SUVs as often to get briquettes (Fewer auto emissions).   Just for fun i gotta say - They truly are green!!

  • That is true!  I filled mine up for a low and slow(Royal Oak) for eight hours and have done four more dinners with the same lump. Amazing
