It was time to add another egg so I can have different temps during a cook. I went with a second large because I have so many accessories so share between them.
Before using, I updated the gasket. All went good and lid alignment was excellent.
And with all the wonderful updates to the forum, I will need to post the images from my phone in a second post. Sorry.

Purty. With a rutland gasket, do you only need to apply it to one side, either the base or the dome?

@Eggerty @RRP has said in the past that you only need one gasket and that it should be installed on the bottom. I have done so and I am happy with this setup. I believe I have read where at least one person elected to install on the top as well, to protect probe wires, but this can be accomplished through other means (e.g. wrapping probe wires with aluminum foil). Scroll down a bit in the link below for @RRP comments. I believe you can still contact him to order the kit, which includes the recommended sealant.Eggerty said:Purty. Thanks. I installed on the dome side so i don't slop bbq sauce on the gasket.

Nice! That is a great idea to go ahead and upgrade the gasket before assembly. Congrats!Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
