Tumbleweeds Firestarters

I picked a box of these at Lowes and found them to be the best fire starter I have tried to this point. Any one else tried these?

I haven't seen those.  I'll take a look next time I'm there to check them out.

I don't see them at lowes.com, but amazon gets nearly $18 (including shipping) for 16 of them. I'll stick with my mapp or (lately) oil and paper towels.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I just picked some of these up today on a whim to start the minimax. I'll report back on how they do.

These worked ok. I still prefer the chimney starter.

  • Tried them for last cook.  Will not use again--the ash from them flows all through the egg and leaves white spots everywhere.
