Pork taco help

I've seen people talk about pulled pork tacos and it sounds good. I've been reading through threads and I'm kinda lost. Can I just cook my butt like normal or do you season them different for tacos? Thanks for any help.

I just take whatever left over pork I have and put it in the taco. Another thing my family loves is to roll up left over pp in a flour tortilla, brush with eggwash and bake for taquitos.

I'm a huge fan of Al Pastor style pork tacos. It had a different flavor profile than a bbq pork butt. Marinade the butt in a chili/pineapple marinade. Cook like normal with little woodsmoke until IT 200 and pull like normal.

Cook like normal, then add the stuff you want to make it your own, like @theyolksonyou, myself and many others here, we repurpose our meats into hella different stuff, tacos, burritos, nachos, omelets, you name it.
I have a simple recipe for street tacos.
Heat lard or any fat in a pan, or flat griddle
Put 4 small corn tortillas in hot fat and get moist, add meat that you have heated up any way you like, fry for a minute or three to get hot, but not too crisp.
Remove and put on plate
add chopped white onion
cilantro
a salsa of your choice.
Enjoy

Unless you've seasoned it strongly with some flavor you wouldn't like in your tacos (sweet BBQ sauce for example), I see no reason you can't use it as-is, or when you reheat, you can always mix in some cumin and other taco seasonings as you see fit.

I cook as normal with a less sugary rub. Pull as usual. Whip up a sofrito sauce and add pulled pork to sauce on stove top. Sofrito is all over the web. Pick any. Let the meat absorb for 15 minutes or so. After the sauce reduces remove pork from sauce and add to taco or burrito. It's a new favorite around here. Not sure if the a sweeter rub would make a difference. Try it.LBGE& SBGE———————————————•———————– Pennsylvania / poconos

Thanks everyone! @cazzy that looks amazing! Looks like I'm gonna have to make several batches to try different ways.
@anton funny thing is I've only repurposed my PP for BBQ pizza or more sandwiches thanks for the ideas. @theyolksonyou the only time my wife has ever read over my shoulder she saw your taquitos! The good news is I think she's going to Hiawassee to the Eggfest with me. Thanks again everyone

Great! We'll see you there. Maybe some taquitos for the meet and greet.
