Hi Gang,
Have anyone out there made a Dry-Curing Chamber from an old fridge? I'm think of making one of these and is looking at info or tips.

I have a curing fridge that is nothing more than a college fridge. It works well but I use UMAI bags. I haven't tried anything else in it.
When you say "old fridge" just make sure its clean.
There are of course more geeked out ways to go. IE controlled temp and humidity. My results with beef have been ok

When you say an old refrigerator you are referring to a unit that is operational and holds temp correct? If so I'd recommend Umai Dry Cure Bags for use with a vacuum sealer.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

I am looking to make one as well. Looking for a used full sized standup fridge (no freezer at all). Once I find one, there will be a separate thermostat and humidity control. Check this tread out I started a bit back - some good links in it: http://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1175957/so-i-am-getting-into-charcuterie-thing#latestRzeancak said:Hi Gang,

I have not, but I know a guy who has. He has a standard humidifier and a small heating element inside, both with controllers on them. He can cure a lot of meat in that!XLBGE, Small BGE, Homebrew and GuitarsRochester, NY
