is an Egg a Bear attractant?

For those who live in the forest, do you find your stored egg to be a bear attractant?
I'm thinking of getting a medium BGE for my cabin and started wondering if the smell of it would attract bears to my cabin when it is unoccupied?

I live in an area with a high bear population. It's not uncommon at all to see them in the summer and fall when out in the woods behind the house.  Our trash is usuall ransacked and spread about during the fall. My eggs sit about 20 feet away from the side of the house where we keep the trash for Monday morning pick up. I'm always surprised the eggs don't get messed with. I think its just a matter of a time personally. Mine are in a table so maybe they are a little more secure but I've seen them flip steel doors on dumpsters w/o a problem. A bear wants what a bear wants

@Zmokin, I have black bears in my yard from spring until fall. They've been on the deck but I have never had an issue with them exploring my eggs.

@Grege345 & @Sammi ;Thanks to both of you, that is very encouraging to hear.

@Chubbs , I'm not worried about a bear eating it, I'm worried about the bear trashing my cabin thinking there is good food inside the side-shed when I'm gone.

Valid concern, I should think.  I'm imagining that you're wondering if a hot burn / cleaning cycle before stowing away would likely take care of any attractants.  That and making sure the nest and other accessories have been cleaned/sanitized.  I think the answer to this specific question would likely be yes.

I have some experience living in bear country but I cannot say I owned an Egg at the time.  I will say that my propane BBQ grill was never a target, but I did always try to make sure that I ran it hot after each cook, and prior to stowing it away long-term inside what amounted to a roll-up door garage.  On the other hand, I did have my canopy on my truck scarred up one time because I did not account for the lingering odors inside after visiting the landfill. My two cents would be if you managed to keep the pungent odors in check you will likely be fine.  Most incidents that I have been aware of are obvious things like someone forgot to clean the fridge out and it became rancid, garbage, or something else like this.

A BGE is a bear attractant if you cook him tasty food and offer him a Hamm's beer to go with it...

Before hoomans came along, the biggest threat to bears (or to any large mammals, actually) were forest fires, and I wouldn't be surprised that they're genetically programmed to avoid smoke.  Several of the above posts seem to confirm that.
