Wife is away, my cook today

So my wife is in Florida to run a half-marathon tomorrow in what has become an annual girl's trip. It is OK with me, as I don't run unless someone is chasing me with a stick, and in my case, it has to be a big stick.
So after this morning's omelette, tonight I made sausage with peppers, onions, mushrooms, garlic sauteed in olive oil with some Mrs. Dash, black pepper and rib rub sprinkled on top.
Plated and served with Sriracha Mayo and Tiger Sauce, but I took the pic before I remembered the broccoli salad in the fridge.
Anyway, before the egg, during these annual trips I would have just hung out with the Dairy Queen, Burger King and maybe a fling with Little Debbie. So I am eating better while the wife is away. Another plus about the egg.

Leftovers and some scrambled eggs and grits made for a good breakfast this morning. You would be surprised how good grits go with sausage, peppers, onions, etc.
