Looking for some menu ideas

I'm having a couple guys over to watch the Daytona 500 this weekend and I'm looking for some menu ideas. I was thinking about making ABT's, maybe some bacon wrapped scallops and pizzas (all on the egg of course). What do ya think?

All good choices. Pepper stout beef has been high on my list for a while now.

I posted a pretty manly menu the other day from a local restaurant. Take a look at it maybe something will spark the imagination. All menu items were bacon related.

The pepper stout beef looks amazing. I might need to try that!

I would personally stay away from the scallops due to the need for attention. That said, the rest sounds like easy stuff. I like the stout beef or just plain ole pulled pork. Easy and everyone enjoys it.

I was all set to move forward with the pepper stout beef but I'm concerned about the cooking time. I need to have the beef done at noon. I think this would require me to start the egg at 5 am to get to a stable temp and allow 6hrs to finish the beef. I suppose I should just get up early and do it. I usually take a nap during the race anyway.

  • Nascar equals sausage, ribs, and beer. Abt's would probably go along with that.
