Thanks man! I think these were my wife's favorite. They made it cake like with a crust on the bottom which allowed for a triangular clean cut.mgd_egg said:Great job! I need to try those potatoes!

Looks great Matt. How much jus did you have in the drip pan? I had high hopes for my jus last night as well, but there was hardly any in the drip pan. The meat was nice and juicy, so I guess it stayed inside this time. :-?? Who knows...But again, yours looks great, and those potatoes sound killer.They/Them

It's rare you have enough with just the roast, so I add some beef broth, white wine, worshtishire sauce, and some garlic to help things along.DMW said:Looks great Matt. Outstanding! Forgive me if you have already answered this but what temp and time for the potatoes?LBGE 2015 - Atlanta

@MelSharples and @johnkitchens... Thank you for the compliments. I appreciate it.I started them out around 400, but had them up on the top tier for about 10-15 min. Then placed the plate setter in and cooked along with the beef at 350 for the remainder of the time. So total time was around 1.5 - 2 hours. I added the top cheese near the last of the cook. Once a toothpick went in well with no resistance, I added the cheese and cooked till melted well.We really loved them. Next time I want to include some smoked sausage in there as well. Also make sure you grease the pan well on the bottom. I used some bacon grease and butter.------------------------------
