TimeStick review...IT ROCKS!!!

Well, time stick just showed up. Put the battery in and set it for 10 seconds to test the volume. I was sitting in a chair holding it at about waist level watching the seconds go by. When it reached the end, I heard... absolutely nothing. I then held it up to my ear and could finally hear it. How convenient. It's supposed to be 70db, which I understand is about the loudness of a vacuum cleaner. No way! Wonder if they have a headset model.
One of the reasons I rarely use my maverick is that I can't hear it either. I have to look at the display. Same high pitched sound that I simply cannot hear. The time stick is worthless to me.
I can hear my iPhone timer from the next room. I can hear the time stick from the next inch. Oh well.I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Michael, then send it back, but I think you have a lemon and let them replace it. I'm totally deaf in one ear and only have 80% in the other and I can sure hear my TimeStick!Carolina Q said:Well, time stick just showed up. I know this is an old post @RRP, but I'm not sure this TimeStick would work for my dumb ass. I just wasted a half of a half gallon(I know it's a quart) of ice cream. I usually let the ice cream sit on the counter for 11 minutes prior to scooping. Normal timing tool for this is the stove. SWMBO is sleeping, so I made a mental note to set the iPad or the iPhone after pulling it out of the freezer. I forgot to do this simple task within the 20sec walk from the kitchen to the couch. After scrolling through the forum for a bit, I remembered the ice cream. This damn forum makes me forget everything.

I am a huge fan as well. I've been juggling a couple of them for some time. They are getting ready to release the TimeStick Trio in a couple weeks. It has 3 timers and is back-lit. If you are planning on purchasing a TimeStick, I would suggest this one.BTW- There is zero personal interest in the post. Just helping Eggers that are planning to buy one.

Thanks! I wonder if they made the start button anymore finger friendy. I use the edge of my thumbnail, but I know the button was the big turnoff for a lot of people. I still use mine all the time hanging around my neck rather than trying to carry a timer around. Any idea of the cost? I'll probably be near the front of the line to buy one of these as I can see the value in the triple counter!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

I also have one and love it. I use it all the time. The buttons are stiff, but I leave it in my pocket so prefer that. I never accidently start or stop it.
The trio looks very complicated. I like my simple one. But then I am a simple man.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

The SET and START/STOP buttons are on the sides now. Each timer has their own set of controls on the sides. Each of the 3 timers have a unique alarm so you can tell them apart.RRP said:Thanks! I think they are $35?I've been using it for a while. I don't notice the button issue on this one. So far, I really like it. -
Were you a beta site tester for them? How did you get your hands on one early? Or am I asking too many questions?Big_Green_Craig said:

I'm surprise at the hating aim towards RRP! I notice whenever a person posts looking for help or suggestions RRP is there with a suggestion to help. Perhaps some view him as a know it all, but isn't that what we come to these forums for? Time to lighten up and get back to purpose of the forum!

Thanks for the support - I try to help. I just wasn't aware of a hate campaign - guess I better look over my shoulder? LOLGASGUY said:I'm surprise at the hating aim towards RRP!
