Burger lunch, ribs for the game

Had some burgers seasoned with just Hooters seasoned salt, with bacon and onion. Then I threw the platesetter in and set temp to 225 and put the ribs in. One slab of baby backs, one of St. Louis, both rubbed with famous daves rib run and will be basted with famous faces Texas pit bbq sauce. Made St. Louis last time and wifey said she wants to compare to babies. Has anyone been able to get fall of the bone tender without using foil. I'm considering doing 3-2-1 but much like less of a hassle and would prefer to just let them go if I can... I'll update the post later with finished rib pics.

Man, bacon turns out good with hardly any shrinkage. Yum

Ribs are done... A little over 5 hours at 250... Just opened the vents to crank the temp up to 350-400 to throw some shrimp on that's marinating in butter, lemon, garlic and onion.

@DMW I live near Houston.... So I'm afraid that won't give you enought time, considering how delicious these turned out. Shrimp was the favorite. The spares were awesome and wifey, along witht the rest of us liked them better than the baby backs, which goes along with most of what I see here too.LBGE | Conroe, TX

Nice cook(s) here, congrats! 'Fall off the bone' tender really just means overcooked, so you can certainly get the with or without using the ol' Texas crutch (tends to happen faster w/ foil). A really nicely cooked rib will allow you to take a bite right out of the middle like in a cartoon without pulling all the rest of the meat off the bone. If that's where you're landing, you're money!

Thanks, I definitely got those results this time and last @Black_Badger We've had some fall off the bone at one restaurant my wife liked and she wanted a replication, but after having these, she's happy not to have those again.LBGE | Conroe, TX
