Party Q Issues

My wife got me a Party Q(new version) for our anniversary in October. I didn't have time to use it until Thanksgiving, I was planning a Turkey cook. When I got it out of the box the buttons were impossible to press, but I thought maybe that is just how they are. When I put it on the egg the temp would automatically take off downward. So I emailed the BBQ Guru guys and they were nice enough. They sent me a return label and I mailed it back. They received it back on December 5th. I have not heard anything since the return so I asked them for a status update, and they said they were backed up with returns and could not give me a time frame for my replacement, he said it could be a few more weeks or longer.
This has me a worried that I am getting the run around. I just cant understand why it would take over 1 month to process a return. Has anyone else ran into this issue with them? It is making me second guess my purchase.

I had to send in Digi Q after it died on the first use.Not sure if they fixed or replaced as mine looked new that I sent in.It took less than 2 weeks to get it back. This was about 2 years and I have not used the new unit. lolI have had good luck with phone help in the past as well.Hope they get you fixed up soon.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

Thanks for your input. I don't want to bother them, but I am ready to get my item back.

I have the older model and have had no problems at all. I can't blame you for being upset as I would feel the same if it was me in your situation. Hearing this doesn't give me any confidence in Bbq Guru. I wonder is they have had massive problems with the new model. Seems like it would be easy enough for them just to send you a replacement.Dave - Austin, TX

That really does suck! I got a party q from Firecraft in December. I have used it several times with no issue. Sorry that this doesn't help you with your problem.
Did you buy it directly from bbq guru? If not, maybe the retailer can help in some way.

I bought mine from firecraft as well. I just can't imagine them having enough returns to back them up for over a month.

My buttons aren't easy to press, but the setting adjusts fine though.------------------------------
