Chuck Roast

Arlene,
Absolutely!
The next question is what do want the finished to be. A Chuck roast can become Beef Stew, Texas Style Chili, Pot Roast, Pulled Beef or you own homemade hamburgers.[p]What do you want to make?

BlueSmoke,

Just kidding of course, but boy does that sound good.

pot roast yuck! as I always cook that in the crockpot and just get tired of it.....plus I don't have a dutch oven

Arlene, Chuck roast is great after marinating overnight
with your favorite marinade. Then it can be cut into medallions about 1-1/4" square by about 4 inches long.
Then cook grill them direct at about 400F, with a little
pecan or mesquite. Tastes like steak and not a cheap
cut of meat this way. I would bet that it would be good
smoked low and slow too, but liked it so well "steak" style
that I have not gotten around to tryin the low and slow on it just yet.

Arlene,
excuse me here, but if you haven't heard about Clay's kick butt pulled beef you need to! On this board it may be blasphemy, but we prefer this chuck roast recipe over brisket and pulled pork. Try it - you'll LOVE it! - if not send it to me and I'll dispose of it for you! har har har

All righty Clay I'll give it a try.....next time I"ll to Jalopy Bob's idea...as it's good BBQ I'm wanting now since I didn't get it w/my pork butt a few weeks ago....
