Great midnight lunch tonight or I should say this AM. Green onion dog grilled with Ozark Oak plus cherry chips to add some smoke. Cut a few slits in the dog to enhance flavors from the egg. Used sliced flax seed bread for a bun. Topped with ketchup and Mrs. Campbell's Chow Chow relish that @tarheelmatt sent me in the exchange. Yum. Was it worth firing up the LBGE for one dog? Hell yeah.

Looks great! Also looks like you might benefit from a Mini.

It seems the further you get from NC the harder it is to find chow chow. @tarheelmatt you ever been to the Dog House in High Point? Great place.

@Smokingpig, oh yeah.. Love their dogs. It has been a long time since I have been though. Mrs. Campbell's has a hot version too, but I like the standard better. My wife side-eyed me the first time I bought some when we first started grocery shopping/living together.------------------------------

chow chow relish??? i had to look that up, sounds kind of awesome. as long as ketchup never gets near my hotdog, i'm ok with trying other unusual toppings!

Guess you can call it a relish, but we've always called it chow chow.My aunt used to make some good chow chow along with kraut. Miss that women. If you can't find any online, I can send you a jar. Goes for you too @Smokinpig.Here's the website for Mrs. Campbell'sFor the ambitious folks I have a few recipes I can post if you want to make your own. They are my late Aunt Margie's recipes.------------------------------

I went to college at HPU before it was turned into a country club. Had many a meal at the Dog House. Looks like I can get Mrs. Campbell's at wally world or whole foods. Hmmm wonder where it is cheaper. Thanks @tarheelmatt

@Smokinpig, interesting! I knew you had ties to my area, but didn't know they were that tight. That is great man. I was looking to go to HPU at one time, it was just to expensive. It has turned into a very nice campus now, and like you said, it is country club-ish. It is getting to the point where it is like Elon in Burlington. Though HPU is nicer, there are more kids from Jersey than NC there.Let me know if I can be of help if you cannot find it.I would place my money on Wally World for the price!

Sorry for the hijack @stemc33Well versed in the Triad. Want to talk about Pfafftown we can or the Archdale drive thru, how about Hanes mall when it was half of the current size, and yes we can discuss your big Thomasville chair.Good area, and every time I go back it is like it has not changed.Born, raised, and educated there minus 11 years in Oklahoma and Colorado.

No worries @tarheelmatt and @Smokinpig. Don't mind the sidebars on the threads as long as it stays friendly and apolitical.Steven
