It's been a long month for me, not a lot of time to egg and not a lot of time to post, but it looks like I'll have a bit more time here in the next few weeks. Wanted to take a few minutes to share a few new toys I picked up.

I picked up a 5.5. Quart Lodge Dutch Oven at Cabelas last week - got it for $9.99 - Had $40 in coupons that came in the mail and thought it was time to pull the trigger - I've used it 5 times since I brought it home and it works like a charm.
I was trying out a new dealer a few weeks back and decided to buy a Thermopop and a led light for the egg - the light is pretty cool, it automatically turns on when you open the egg and turns off when you close it. It was a generic brand, but it looks like cuisinart makes one that's about $10 cheaper than what I paid - check it here - http://amzn.com/B00F3BH7VG
The thermopop is outstanding - the thermopen looks a lot more substantial and if I didn't have the wireless one as well, I would have had to gone that route, but for now, it's working as it should.

Is that light waterproof? Looking that the bigger cuisinart expanding light and it is not.

@theyolksonyouMine is "water resistant" - I've left it out in the rain many times - now snow and ice - and it still works great - Since it's just a tube with 2 AAA batteries and then a small led light, it's not much more than a simple flashlight - now I do put my cover on the egg when I remember just because of the ice buildup in Chicago this time of year annoys me, hope that helps.
