Greetings from a new Egghead...

I wanted to say hello and that his forum has been a great help. I got my BGE (large) about a month ago and have done a few cooks. My first was a spatchcock chicken which came out great. Then a butt, ribs, and Friday a pizza.

For the pizza I cleaned out the BGE lump and filled to almost the top of the fire box with Rockwood. Started the fire with a MAPP torch and let egg heat to 650 for 30 min with stone in. Dropped to 550 and put the pizza on. The pizza cooked for 10 min and came out great. I then closed the egg vent and ceramic top. When I checked on the egg to put it away there was barely any lump left. Is that normal for a pizza cook?
