Happy Thanksgiving Week from Costa Rica

Thanks (Gracias) for the opportunity to join your Green Egg BBQ Forum.

My name is Bob and I am originally from Knoxville, Tennessee. I have been living in Costa Rica for over 10 years now.

While living in Costa Rica, I have always enjoyed going to small restaurants where the Costa Rican ("Tico") owners cook whole chickens using large, rotisserie, brick ovens which are fired using Coffee Wood. The view of the roasting birds, the feel of the fire's heat, and the pleasant aroma of the finished product is irresistible. The promise of the process is more than fulfilled by the unique and delicious taste and aroma of this popular, Coffee Wood smoked, Costa Rican food.

I decided that it would be a good business idea to export this wonderful wood back to the U.S. so that my fellow Gringos could experience this incredible smoke flavor. I started up my own company here in Costa Rica and am now exporting the coffee wood back to the U.S. The name of the product is "Tico Smoke" and I am currently offering the wood in 2 1/2 Lb Bags (chunks) and 5 Lb Bag (chunks). I am currently working on some additional offerings that will be available early in 2015.

I am the sole supplier of U.S.D.A. approved Coffee Wood from Costa Rica at this time. I have the necessary permits to import the wood to the U.S. The wood is debarked and kiln dried to enhance the quality of the product.

I currently have inventory in Texas and can ship the products from Rodaks Coffee and BBQ Grills (rodakscoffeeandbbqgrills.com) out of Ft. Worth. Call Marvin at (817) 924-6821 for more information.

Thanks again for the opportunity to introduce myself to your Forum. I look forward to your feedback.
