I plan on trying this plan of action for my first "smashed burgers"http://theshoeboxkitchen.wordpress.com/2011/05/19/hands-down-the-best-burger-youll-ever-eat/ . Anyone try this or have any tips/tricks? Cook with lid open?

sorry - I thought the thread was going to be about thin smashed burgers like done on a griddle. Now I don't know how to remove a picture once added.
