It doesn't get any better in sports than a World Series game 7. In my opinion anyways. Just wanted to see if we have any ball fans here that are cooking something for the game tonight.

I think the best game in sports is UGA vs UF. However I have some ribs on for game 7 tonight. Doing a test run of a new recipe before we have people over for the games this weekend1 large BGE, Spartanburg SC

Have to agree with all three of you.......if there was a way to have all three back to back on a Saturday then I'd be in heaven!!! I'm conflicted on the game tonight. I want the Royals to win but don't want to see Huddy have a bad start for the Giants. How about 7 no hit innings for Huddy then the wheels come off when they go to the pen. Yea...that's the ticket!Think it's a burger night for my household.

Have to disagree with you @Eggcelsior - college football is king down this way although I am an anomaly in Georgia because I grew up loving hockey. Had Thrasher season tickets for their stint here in Atlanta ('99-'11) and was devastated to see them head to the great white north. That's two NHL teams that have come and gone so I doubt there'll be a third (at least not in my lifetime). Hockey is the best spectator sport in the world LIVE but give me a college football Saturday on a crisp fall day with the smell of Bourbon and wood smoke in the air and I'm happier than a pig in slop.

Baseball is the #1 sport in my house. College football is #2 and NFL is #3. I don't watch basketball or hockey at all. I'm with @GATraveller would like to see the Royals win but I'm a huge Tim Hudson fan too. Smoking a 8-1/2 lb turkey breast for supper.

@Eggcelsior I have to respectively disagree. I think we just have a fundamental difference of opinion and I won't attempt to dissuade you from you beliefs. Football combines the two worst parts of American life, it is violence interrupted by committee meetings.
Seriously though, I think the thing that gives Game 7s the edge is that it is the culmination of a series; football has their winner take all games, but they don't have those preceding 6 games between the two teams to build up a little bad blood and to see the fortunes of each team shift during the series.
We're picking up pizza because we just got back from vacation and I had to take the puppy to the vet, but I'm hoping for a Royals win but I really just want to see a great game tonight.LBGE

@Grillin_beers That's not limited to you boys in the a South. I live in Chicago with the Bulls and the Blackhawks and I would watch College Football all day before pro basketball and hockey. I have always been a baseball fan although the Ongoing futility of the Cubs and my hometown team, the Indians, has lowered my interest. @Grillin_beers I'm from the south and love baseball and football too. However, they are relatively boring compared to hockey and basketball when talking about actual game play. You get maybe 5-10 minutes of actual game play in baseball and football, the rest of the time is spent looking at guys in tight pants stand around. It's a totally different experience from hockey and basketball and exciting in different ways.
@GATraveller I agree that tailgating at a football game is the best overall experience but in terms of absolute excitement nothing beats the drama of a game 7 championship game. We are talking about different things here. -

I love the NFL. Every game means so much. You play 16 games in the regular season and any loss is huge. There is no shrug and "We'll get 'em tomorrow or next time".
The NHL is a close second for me because of the non-stop action.
NCAA football is good, but my interest is in the NFL. I think it's a better product.Flint, Michigan -
