I just noticed the bottom of my XL egg has cracked in the nest. Anyone else having this? The egg is less than two years old. It is quite substantial .

Happens every so often. Take pictures and contact your dealer for warranty replacement.

Ok thanks

Same thing happened to my XL over the summer. It was about the same age as yours. I called my dealer and had a replacement in less than a week. Now is a good time to consider, removing the stock gasket and replacing it with a Rutland gasket. I found that it was much easier removing the stock gasket and installing the Rutland before attaching the dome. Contact RRP for more information regarding the Rutland gasket.

Happened to me at 8 years. I suspect condensation/freeze/thaw. I had a new base on warranty replacement in about 48 hours. I have a fantastic dealer. I didn't even buy that Egg from him.

Update: Big G Egg will replace base. Thanks for responses
