Our company makes parts, but that doesn't hold the same appeal ;)
  • Funny you should mention that. I tried to find job postings for them one time. I never did see anything. I feel like anytime something comes up you would have 500 egg fanatics sending in resumes. If they ever need a director of marketing I'll be all over it!

@Grillin_beers, I have searched as well, just out of curiosity, but couldn't find anything either.  If they were in the market for a quotation engineer I would be all over that....

  • @tarheelmatt I'm sure that all of my money would go right back to them so it's really a win win for them. I'm not so sure I want to move to Atlanta though.

Yeah, I agree about the moving part.  I was offered a job as a project manager in Hanover, Maryland and just couldn't do it.  I love where I live and would be hard pressed to move somewhere.

Without coming off sounding racist, I think if you wanted to work at BGE, you should be living in Mexico, and specializing in ceramic work. All the good office jobs are taken!!

If I didn't already live in the commie state of MD I wouldn't move here either... for the common law abiding citizen to get a conceal carry requires that you be attacked at least twice before you can be considered... the other stipulation is that you survive the attacks. @onedbguru‌, I would definitely hate that. I do carry from time to time. I've had my CCW about 10 years now.

Haha.. Yeah, that's what the sales account managers say. I'll stay in NC when a home office job comes available.

A pickup truck passed me on the freeway here in Madison last week that hag BGE logos on the side and tailgate. It went by pretty fast and I thought it had Kansas plates. I was hoping it was heading towards one of our local dealers as I was heading there. Had to make a stop elsewhere first and when I got to the dealer the truck wasn't there. Anyone have any ideas what this truck would have been?

I've seen a BGE rep rollin' a goofy lookin' minivan type vehicle with BGE vinyl all over it.  Not a pickup though.

The distributor in my neck of the woods is GHS.  They have the Freightliner vans that are wrapped in Big Green Egg swag.

I see this often. It's a Ford Transit Connect.
  • What BGE needs is more quality dealers.

We have found this to be quite rewarding.

too old for that... plus they shoot at the LE here....
  • I would love to open up a high end BBQ store @SMITTYtheSMOKER‌. Maybe one day. I think I could kill it setting up a shop downtown and cooking on the egg outside to bring in people. How cool would it be to not have to order rubs and sauces on the Internet.

@bcsnave‌ - UW Provisions in Middleton became a dealer this fall. How great is that when the BGE dealer also sells meat!
