Not cheating at all... That's all I use. I do buy dough balls, but I just shape them and turn them into some kickass bread.MSV Chill Spot

Definitely not a cheat.. I tried making my own and failed big time. If you buy your dough pre-made where ever, you just defeated 3/4 of the task for making pizzas

Unless I can talk SWMBO into making it I always use store bought/pizzaria/bakery dough.

I always make my own dough, but sometimes I'm short of time and would do pizzas if I could find good store bought dough. Any brands you've had consistent luck with?LBGE & SBGE. Central Texas.

I actually tried a ready made crust that I got at HEB grocery store. There were two in a pack and they baked up just fine on my stone. I just loaded both of them up and did em. Nice and crispy crust too.Dave - Austin, TX

Have you ever thought of going to a local pizza joint and buying some dough from them? Try visiting or calling a few, I'm sure you can find one that would be willing.XL BGE - Indianapolis, IN

I don't mind making my own. Flour, yeast, pinch of salt and water, mix in my kitchen aid. While it's kneading for 5 minutes I warm the oven. Remove dough, evoo the mixer bowl, put dough back in bowl and turn to coat. Tea towel over bowl and put in 100 degree oven and turn off oven and close door. Sounds like a lot of steps but really only about 10 minutes to make the dough. It takes about an hour for the dough to rise, It takes about an hour to light and heat soak egg, platesetter and pizza stone. There both ready at the same time.
