What are your thoughts on the frozen Yellow Fin Tuna Steaks from Kroger (or similar)? When thawed, seasoned and cooked, are they pretty good or not worth it? A friend of mine had some fresh-caught steaks frozen that were really good. Just wondered what the quality of the Kroger brand was.

I'd imagine they will taste fine. I've done frozen, grocery store bought fish before, especially in a pinch with time / money. Just season it up to the way you like it and let it rip. But, always try to get some fresh fish from a fish market or fresh catch if possible. I dont have a fish market but the Asian Grocery Stores have a pretty good fresh fish selection in my parts. You will easily tell the difference in the fish from the beginning and definitely at the end.

LOL, thanks. I try to avoid people who dont enjoy those finer things. It saves me from awkwardly staring at them when they tell me their opinion on animal cruelty. I dont trust them, haha
