Table question

I am in the process of building a table for my large egg. Most people use a paver under their egg, I'm using 16 inch tiles for the top would a tile be ok to set the egg on with an air between it and the tile?

That's what I figured, just thought it would look better than piece of concrete.

You could stain or etch the concrete, plus give it a clear coat. Honestly long run no one will notice

Tile is fine...so long as you are using a table nest in conjunction.

I have a tile under mine with a table nest. It's been fine for over 2 years now.

this is what I use with no tile or paver ....see sig pic ...I've even slid my hand under there to check the heat on the wood and most of the time its not even warm .... this is after 600 deg steak cooks
