Burnt Ends with melted garlic

Did a 11# brisket on Saturday and whipped up some burnt ends and melted garlic on Sunday. I like burnt ends but think I'll reduce into beans as it will be put to better use at home.

Thanks for looking. image

Yum.  I got APL's Serious BBQ for Christmas and have wanted to do this but haven't taken the time yet.  Thanks for re-lighting that fire.

  • I made this from Serious BBQ too. First taste I was told 'you have to make this again'. I said it would have been better if I had a 2nd Egg for the garlic, next words were 'buy it'.

Now that is a reason to make it again!

Looks good, I did a 13 pound brisket a couple weeks ago and made most of it into burnt ends. They were very tasty meat candy. You are getting a better response then I did. I will try the melted garlic sometime and they ate great in beans too like you said. Your pictures of the burnt ends are better.

Thanks @ladeback69 your burnt ends looked good too - it was a lot of work to achieve that result. After cooking a brisket the extra 2hrs does seem like a lot.  I need to get on the home made beans to really makes use of the meat candy.

Thanks @JRWhitee Thinking about doing Melted Garlic more often for other things like grilled vegetables to give it that extra leg up....
