Stoker without a screen

Hey guys, I ordered a stoker this week and through older posts noticed that there was plenty of mention of how to install it with the screen. I do not have a screen on my egg, is this a big deal for coals potentially flying into the blower?

Thanks for any help

No, I have never used the screen between the blower and egg. Just slide both the screen and door over and back up against the blower bracket.

I also have never used the screen
I just slide both the door and screen to the right, put the bracket in place and slide both the screen and the door back to the left to hold the blower bracket in place

I've never attempted to put the stoker fan on with the screen closed. Not sure you can even do it and if so it probably won't attach as well. The stoker fan has a flap that closes when the fan isn't blowing anyway. You should have no worries about going screen less.

Make sure you install the blower with the power cable coming out of the top of the fan, otherwise the flapper door will not work properly.

If you attach the blower with the power cable coming out of the bottom the flapper door will remain open at all times which will not allow it to work properly
