Large Deal Check

The Dealers in Phoenix are all pretty similar in terms of price.  The deal is $1295 (Includes a Large Egg, Nest, Side Tables, Charcoal, Starters & Ash Tool).  Temporally they are throwing in a Looftlighter.  It does not come with Plate Setter.  Does that seem inline or high?

That is my thought too.  Not sure how to get a better deal (other than egg fest).

I don't think that's out of line high. I bet if you got quotes from a few different places and let them know you're shopping around, you'll get a better price.

I have a local dealer a mile away. He is cheaper than other dealers 60 miles away, but I am sure I could find someone in a 100 mile range that would beat him, BUT then I have to go and get it. My local dealer already has the eggs put together.

That is convenient, but a real pain when it comes to transporting one. I will spend more to stay close to home. My gas, time, and blood pressure are worth a a lot to me.

Standalone Egg is $899 I believe.

for 899 for the egg look into the ceramic grill store adjustable rig combo, a thermapen, skip the platesetter, and buy some wood to build a table. way ahead of the game with that combo. the egg can be used on a patio stone til the table is ready

I agree with @fishlessman, $899 is the top price for Large Egg. My Egg sat on a paver stone for a few months while I rebuilt my table and the Adjustable Rig is the way to go I don't know how I went so long without it.

Doesn't seem I can get it that low here in Phoenix.  If anyone in the area has seen it lower please let me know!

That price is high...  Regular price around here is around $850.  I paid $765 for my LBGE alone the week before Fathers day this year.  They offered 10% off all accessories bought at that time.  I could have got it for another 5% off if I waited for the sale they have at Christmas, but I wanted it too bad to wait any longer.

Definitely high compared to our prices in Texas.

that sounds high.  one thing i'd recommend, if you can wait, is to pre-purchase an BGE from an eggfest.  They knock $100 or so off of each unit, assemble it for you, it's used ONE TIME and it comes with full warranty, accessories are usually on sale when they do Eggfests as well.

if you're OK with NOT having the warranty, buy a used one off of ebay or craigslist.  a bit risky but you could get one today and you can find one with all the accessories too- my rule of thumb is that it's worth it to take the risk of NOT having the warranty for about a 50% discount.

My local dealer prices a large including a nest at $889 plus our 8% tax. Out the door you are looking at $960.00.

Thanks everyone!  It sounds like PHX is just on the high end and waiting for a deal (i.e. Eggfest) is my best option.  I have scanned Craigslist and there are very few used ones listed and they are barely discounted.
