National Hot Dog Day

The kids heard that today was National Hot Dog Day and requested hot dogs on the egg. Had to say yes to those sweet 5 and 10 year old voices!
Decided that tater tots would be good with them, so I did some regular and some bacon-wrapped tots as well!
Cut bacon into 1/3 and skewered thru a thawed out tater tot with a toothpick. Indirect at 400-ish for about 45 minutes.
It's been requested again for tailgating in football season - might need a second egg for that!!!!
Even the cat had to get in on the bacon eggsperience!!

I did hot dogs tonight, but unfortunately I did NOT do bacon wrapped tater tots. Looks tasty!

I did some dogs as well to celebrate, went with a few options for the family, made the classic Chicago Dog, a Chilli Cheese Dog and a new creation for me, the BLT dog! Unfortunately, it's hard to get kids to go for anything other than regular dogs.... But hey, they are just kids!!!!
