Do I have a crack?

Did a pizza cook tonight and noticed smoke coming off the back of my egg. When I looked closer, I could see grease dripping from the bottom of the base. Waiting for it to cool down so I can get a better look but wondered if its definitely cracked or if the ceramic is pourous enough the grease could get through it. Anyone else seen this?

I know when I do hot cooks or a clean burn my egg's dome "sweats" grease, not sure if that's what you are seeing or not though.Steve

@Fred19Flintstone I knew after made the title that I had opened myself up for that. Thanks for not letting me down

There should be nothing leaking from the base. I had grease leaking during a brisket cook and found the base on my XL cracked.

@bdsdnfam Thanks! That's what I was afraid of. Have you already replaced yours? It it a difficult task?

Replacing the base is quite easy. Getting the replacement maybe not so much. Depends on your dealer.Kemah, TX

Get a better look after it cools in the AM daylight. Pics if it's questionable. Fingers crossed that it isn't though.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

So what's the verdict? Aside for the one you were born with, do you have a crack?Flint, Michigan

Here are the pics -I'm hoping once I scrub the black off that I'll be able to see it. I cleaned out the ash but couldn't see anything from the inside. Only way I could think of testing was to put a layer of water in the bottom. The water held so I was hopeful. I heated it up to dry it out and then noticed a slow drip coming off the bolts of the nest after it got above 400.I contacted my dealer about it and they just need to see a picture of the crack. Just hope I can find it.
