The crazy thing is the Budweiser tastes the same skunked as the day it was made. =))

One thing for certain is they needed "church keys" to open which means they are old, BUT when I was in college in the 60's so did all beers!!! If a dude didn't have a church key in his pocket he was weird! Pop Tops etc came later! Does that date me? LOL

flat top cans ruled the landscape from the mid 30's until the mid to late 60's.  The pop top or pill tab can took over from there.  Prior to the flat top the cone top was king.

I was sorry to see Falstaff leave the scene. Used to buy it off the truck from a buddy for $4 a case(24 cans).

Does that date you. Why, yes!

After the pop tops came in, all the cans became aluminum. Once upon a time, crushing the steel can by hand after it was empty was a bit of a show off. Never knew any one who could crush it on their forehead, but I do remember trying. Ow!

To the OP. Ballantine made a very hoppy ale for the world series. Some of those were still good after 40 yrears. The Bud and Falstaff, um, pro'ley not.
