Ok, I'll reveal my ignorance here. Can anyone state the exact size of the bolts? I see a place to order carriage bolts, but no idea what these are. Would 1/4-20 x 2.5 sound right?thanks,JohnKemah, TX

Coastalcooker said:What's the problem with following the instructions? ONE HUNDRED TWENTY INCH POUNDS. Normally torques are for dry nuts and bolts cold. This is not very tight, but is enough to hold the bands according to those who should know-the manufacturer.

who did read the instruction manual.
Coastalcooker: How did you know when it's tightened to 120 inch pounds ? -
I'm going to reinstall my dome lid tonight. I had it removed to facilitate removing the old gasket.
I have installed a Rutland gasket on the bottom that I got from Ron.
I plan to use a torque wrench to verify the proper tightness of the band bolts when I reassemble the egg tonight.
