Anyone made Chex Mix in the Egg?

Or am I the only one...ever?!!

It's really good, I've done it a couple times.

Word to the wise... bake it for half the cook time in the Egg with your favorite smoking wood, and finish it off in the oven. First time I made it, I cooked it for the whole time in the Egg and it got a little soggy. Second time I did half and half and it was great.

Looks like it would go go with a nice cold beer. Made chex mix once as a kid, but don't remember what goes in it. Got a recipe?

    Sure...it's something like this:

    3 cups Corn Chex™ cereal

    3 cups Rice Chex™ cereal

    3 cups Wheat Chex™ cereal

    1 cup mixed nuts

    1 cup bite-size pretzels

1 cup garlic-flavor bite-size bagel chips or regular-size bagel chips, broken into 1-inch pieces (I prefer Cheetos!)

    6 tablespoons butter or margarine

    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

    1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt

    3/4 teaspoon garlic powder

    1/2 teaspoon onion powder

In large bowl, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips; set aside. In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.

cook at about 300º for about 40 minutes, half in the Egg, half in the oven.

Gonna have to try this!  I've roasted almonds in the egg, but haven't done Chex Mix.  Soon.
