Question about the table.......That hole on the left side....

What if it rains? Does all the water just funnel into it?
Yes it does. I have just put a piece of cling wrap and it worked. If I forget the water falls into the catch pan an spills over. But, honestly it's not a big deal. Super easy cleanup. After a rain I use this squeegee and a terry cloth rag.
FWIW I use the same squeegee (we have 2 of them) to dry the cars or my truck after a car wash and then a small towel finishes it up. image

I do love the design of your table. Off to the restaurant surplus store eventually I believe.

I like the set up, but do you have any issues with mice making a home in the shelves? That would be my only concern in KC, that's why I want doors on mine. I just haven't found the right thing yet.

@Ladeback69‌ I actually had that issue on my old gasser. But, nope never an issue on this table. I keep it clean. Almost cleaner than a commercial showroom kitchen clean. So if rodents wanted to shack up there would be no benefit for them. Not to mention we have a dog that seeks and destroys even the moles. It's freaking hilarious she tilts her head, breaks out her wicked olfactory and snatches them outta the ground. That and we have a boat load of hawks and about a dozen or so owls (Barred & Horned owls) that live on the property so rodents don't stand a chance at Casa de NPHUSKERFL. I've seen the owls tote squirrels away.

My dogs are both gone now and the wife wants to be dog free for a while. Mice used to make a nest in my old gasser, because lack of use. I use the egg a lot more now so maybe it wouldn't be a problem now. I will keep looking for what I want.

@Ladeback69‌ FWIW good housekeeping and frequent use are going to keep most pests from inhabiting your table. Having doors or no doors is really of no consequence but, more of a personal preference.
